The Village at Santa Barbara, designed by Leifer-Marter Architects, was constructed in l982-83 by Timm Construction Company on land leased from the Goleta Union School District for 99 years. The Complex includes two duplex and nine fourplex buildings. The end units of the fourplexes are two bedroom/ two bath units; and the inside units are a one bedroom/ one bath unit and a two bedroom/one bath unit. Common Area amenities consist of a Pool and Cabana, a Tennis Court, a Children’s Playground, a Recreational Vehicle Parking Lot, and a large landscaped BBQ/Recreation area.
Transfer of title to a buyer upon sale of a unit (Assignment of the Sublease and Transfer of Residential Townhouse) requires the written consent of The Village at Santa Barbara Owners Association, as lessee of the Ground Lease and sublessor of the Sublease, in the real estate transaction.
The Village community is led by an annually elected, five-member, volunteer Board of Directors that determines policies and procedures in accordance with the Association’s governing documents, the Goleta Union School District Ground Lease, and applicable federal, state, and county laws.
Owners should plan to attend the Annual Association Meeting each January to elect the Board of Directors and to participate in the business of the Association.
